Notes
Issued between 1947-48, this is a fine cache of early Dinky ambulances as follows:
1) Virtually mint cream and black finish with bright red cross details on both sides. This version has open rear side windows. Complete headlight and radiator assembly, black ridged wheels, smooth tyres (no flat spots) and crimped axles.
2 As above but near mint plus and the version with filled-in side rear windows. Couple of retouches.
3)As above, but virtually mint.
4) As above but light mid-grey finish with open side windows. Near mint plus.
5) Deeper grey finish with closed rear side windows. Very near mint.
The buff Dinky Trade box looks rarely handled and carefully stored, sowing light wear only. Complete clean and fresh yellow informative label at a short lid end. Period pencilled shopkeeper’s price.
With original dividers, too.
