Notes
A scarce set issued between 1967-69 comprising:
1) Corgi 490 VW Breakdown Truck, shaped spun wheels with suspension. With strung tow hook, red VW emblem, complete “RACING CLUB” paper labels on both sides. Both spare wheels are present. Intact opening red plastic tool box comes complete with all the chrome tools. Chevron paper label at the rear.
2) Corgi 156 Cooper-Maserati on a red trailer with detailed cast wheels. Virtually mint model is still banded to the red trailer.
The contents are housed in a distinctive and most attractive card picture box with a flip-up colourful backdrop for display. Couple of tiny tears (rare to find this good!). Strong vivid colours on sturdy card. Light wear besides.
Inner is strongly-coloured. Both winged card pieces are intact which may be used to prop open the box on display.
All in all, this is a scarce and appealing two-piece Gift Set.
