A selection of 6 x Dinky Toys 29C Buses, 1st types, with cut-away grilles, black ridged wheels, no staircase from 1946, as follows:
1) Green & dark grey with smooth black tyres. Near mint plus. Few marks to paint.
2) Matte green and light grey-green, with smooth black tyres. Near mint plus. Hard to find a mark but some small areas of retouching.
3) Gloss scarlet red and mid-grey. Near mint plus. Few touch-ins and marks to paint.
4) Green & dark grey with smooth black tyres. Near mint. Few small areas of retouching.
5) Two-tone green, with smooth black tyres. Light crazing to paint on roof. Excellent plus. Occasional subtle retouch. A few chips.
6) Green and dark grey with smooth black tyres. Near mint. Light marking to paint.
With original dividers.
Sturdy buff Dinky Trade Box has a complete and bright informative paper label at a short lid end. Period penned price. Residue from old tape which kept the box closed. Period shop stamp ‘Gravesend’ on box base.
