Nicky Dinky Toys 170 Lincoln Continental
Lincoln Continental by Nicky Dinky Toys, No.170. Bright mid-blue with a RED roof. Scarce - and a First for QDT! Very near mint/boxed. From The Phenomenal Collection. Starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
A very close to mint example finished in an eye-catching bright mid-blue with a red roof with original silver details, off-white interior, steering wheel, and window glazing (small defect at the rear screen). Silver and black plastic one-piece tyres/wheels. Left-hand drive
Shiny black base with ‘TOYS’ and ‘LINCOLN CONTINENTAL’ (the word DINKY obliterated).
Occasional little mark to the paint.
The colourful correct box (ATAMCO P LTD. Calcutta) is complete. Age grubbiness and the usual wear which can often plague these fragile Nicky Toys boxes.
