Notes
This collection represents a lifelong deep appreciation of Dinky Toys, Britains models, Minic models and more primarily from the 1940’s & 50’s. All British made diecast and tinplate models. Proceeds going to charities close to his heart.
This type 4 version of the Petrol Tank Wagon in orange and black with front bumper detail was issued between 1947-48 and would have been sent to the shopkeeper in trade boxes, so not individually boxed.
This example presenting nicely with a vivid and shining deep orange paint finish and complete and unmarked ‘PETROL’ lettering on both sides. Sound original tyres run on black ridged wheels. Complete with an intact radiator and headlight assembly. A rare find – and this example has such a lustrous finish!
Hard to find a mark but there are several touch-ins.
A rare addition to your Dinky commercial collection.
