Notes
Renumbered from Dinky 25v, this is the early issue in fawn with green tinplate shutters and no window glazing, red wheels.
From 1954 – when the model was re-numbered form 25v. Boxes for a short time (1954) bore both the older numbering (25v) and the new numbering 252.
Very appealing lustre. Shiny base and smooth original tyres look as-new.
The movement of the mechanism for tilting the back works well. Barely a mark to the paint finish.

Note this is the rare version with lighter green tinplate shutters. Most you will find have deeper green tinplate shutters. This is a First for QDT.
For comparison only, please take a look at this model in the foreground with the model with the standard deeper green tinplate shutters behind.
The attractive early issue pictorial box with the white border around the model picture is strongly-coloured, crisp and clean. Dual-numbered. Very minor age wear and a period price on an end flap. With Dinky Quality Control Tag.
