Corgi Gift Set 41 Car Transporter & 6 Cars

This is a sought-after and scarce Gift Set issued between 1966-68 and only available by Mail Order at the time.
This exciting and colourful set comprises:

1) Corgi 1138 Ford Car Transporter in red, blue & silver.
Near mint plus with the occasional little mark. Intact horns on the roof. Chevron labels at the rear. Both wing mirrors are intact and complete with the little mirror pieces too. 4 plastic chocks.

2) Corgi 226 Morris Mini Minor in lilac blue with a red interior. Very near mint.

3) Corgi 249 Morris Mini Cooper in red & black with ‘wickerwork’ side detail. Very near mint with complete wickerwork panels. Lustrous finish and jewelled headlights. Intact suspension on cast wheels. Late feature with horizontal front wing casting lines. Chip on the roof and marking to the front number-plate. Occasional minor mark besides.

3) Corgi 251 Hillman Imp in bronze. Very near mint with suspension on all four wheels notably. Dark mark on the roof – may be possible to remove.

4) Corgi 252 Rover 2000 in metallic deep plum. Near mint plus. Couple of small retouches on the roof. Suspension.

5) Corgi 321 Austin Mini-Cooper in red with roof signatures of Timo Makinen and Paul Easter. Excellent plus with scattered light chipping. All four jewelled lights and virtually complete – complete transfers throughout.

6) Corgi 440 Ford Cortina Estate in blue. Play worn – recommend upgrading this model to improve the set.

All contents are housed in a polystyrene tray which is bright and complete with the Corgi label with dog logo. Minor grubbiness/wear.

The colourful card lid is strongly-coloured and presents well with a full colour illustration on the lift-off lid. Small part-puncture is easily overlooked.
A little age wear besides.
