Notes
This particular issue has a mid blue cab and hubs, with a paler blue back including the decks. “DINKY TOYS DELIVERY SERVICE” lettering on sides and back. 582 stamped on the trailer. The sheen on this model shows that it has been handled only occasionally.
A very pleasing example with a mint lustrous cab and none of the usual rubbing on the decks. The occasional little mark only. There is a little bubbling and a rub to the paint finish at one top corner of the hinged ramp.
The striped pictorial box is complete with no splits. Bright staples. U.S export ‘Hudson Dobson’ label still in place at one side of the box, so originally exported to the U.S.:
Dual-numbered box (so transition from 582 to 982 which occurred during 1955).
Shopkeeper’s price at one end of the lid. Some rubbing and wear at edges. One end is a little sunfaded.
