Nicky Dinky Toys 137 Plymouth Fury Sports
Plymouth Fury Sports by Nicky Dinky Toys, No. 137. Very near mint/boxed. Metallic red issue. Scarce model from The Phenomenal Collection.
Notes
Sought after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This particular example has a metallic red finish*, including the seats, both seated figures, black tonneau.
No ‘Dinky Toys’ on base, but ‘PLYMOUTH FURY’ present.
Both aerials are intact. One-piece plastic wheel and tyre construction. Tinplate base. Opening bonnet with engine detail. Silver trim.
Very near mint condition.
Colourful card box has some of the usual wear and tear but it is complete and brightly-coloured. Tape repair to an internal end flap. A heavy model stored in a comparatively flimsy box.
