Corgi Toys 1130 Circus Horse Transporter with Horses
Circus Horse Transporter with Horses by Corgi Toys, No. 1130. CAST wheels issue. Near mint plus/boxed. With six horses, still in their individual wrap-around card packing, and large packing piece. From The Gower Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1962-70, this item is part of the much-loved Chipperfields range of models. The Bedford TK tractor unit with trailer has a vivid glowing red finish, lovely cast wheels, (more often found with shaped spun wheels), clean and complete paper labels throughout and a greenish-blue back (probably light-affected).
Little marks as a result of opening and closing the hinged doors (hard to imagine how this could be avoided). Small mark to the cab front. Both of the wing mirrors are present, although lacking the little ‘reflective’ pieces. The item comes with the *full complement of six grey horses, all still individually wrapped in the original card packing (not often found like this!).
The card plinth is clean and bright, with both pull-out end tabs firmly in place and tear-free. Couple of very small wheel slot tears. Few creases.
Nice to see that this item still has its large white card packing piece – so often discarded.
The outer box is complete, bright and clean. Couple of little handling tears and a very small area of surface loss. Period penned price on one picture side (small print).
