Dinky Toys 113 Steed's Jaguar Coupé

A First for QDT!
We are privileged to bring to market this Dinky Steed’s Jaguar Coupe model – a short factory run just prior to the closure of the DINKY factory.
This is not a Code 3 example but one of the very few made to Dinky specifications, on behalf of Dinky in Hong Kong (printed on the box), just prior to the factory closure in November 1979. Copyright 1978 printed.

This 1:36 scale Jaguar Coupé model has a glistening mid-metallic blue finish with a gold mid-line stripe and a black detailed interior. Figure of Steed behind the wheel. Shining bright spoked wheel detail (one-piece wheels/tyres). Black base.
Virtually mint.

With assailant figure (plastic).
Complete and strongly-coloured yellow shaped card inner. Couple of repaired tears due to model movement.

Correct distinctive card and cellophane window box has colourful illustrations on the header card section and on card reverse. Intact original cellophane window.
Light wear includes a small tear on an end flap, light crease and wear besides. No loss of colour vibrancy. No graffiti. Card feels firm and crisp.

Beware of the Code 3 examples which are typically without a gold mid-line stripe (without seated figure of Steed. The box too has MADE IN ENGLAND print and additional illustrations on incorrect gauge of card thickness. Please be aware of these which are worth a fraction of the genuine example.
This model was originally purchased by the current owner at Vectis Auction House in 2007.
