Corgi Toys 803 The Beatles Yellow Submarine
The Beatles Yellow Submarine by Corgi Toys, No. 803. Red hatches issue. Very near mint/boxed. From The Elmer Collection.
Notes
A sought-after Corgi model in all original condition with all four figures of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
Red hatches issue. Working function.
Transfers are complete save for just one which has a tiny portion missing. The periscope is undamaged, rotating when the model is pushed along. Complete black plastic propellor (although note the very subtle repair to one of the blades).
Couple of negligible marks to the paint finish.
The deep blue moulded plastic inner is notably intact – this type of plastic becomes so fragile and brittle over time, and is so often found with damage – not in this case!
Box colours are vivid with lots of atmospheric artwork adding to its appeal. Crisp. Not even the expected crease where the header card section meets the main body of the box. Pinpoint puncture to the cellophane window. Tiny wear besides. Period price labels on an end flap.
