This exquisite early Dinky Gift Set dated October 1939 comprises:
1) 60G D.H Comet Aeroplane. Near mint plus.
2) 62H Hawker Hurricane. Near mint.
3) 62K The King’s Aeroplane. Near mint.
4) 62M Airspeed Envoy Aeroplane. Very near mint (note printed 62S printed in error on the card insert).
5) 62S Hawker Hurricane Single Seater Fighter. Excellent plus. Minor fatigue as is typical for models of this age. No parts missing. Complete roundels.
6) 63B Seaplane Mercury. Near mint plus.
All still strung to the pale blue card inner which is fresh and clean. Intact with unrubbed informative print.
Powder blue lift-off lidded outer box is as fine as you could wish – for a set of this age. Complete, and without tears or repairs, showing only the most minor age fading and storage grubbiness. Note the printed date 10 39 on one lid side which means this is one of the earliest sets in the production run ((1939-41). Old price label on a short lid end.
