Large Corgi Wooden Sign
Large Corgi Wooden Sign. Rare point of sale display item from the late 1950's. Near mint plus. A First for QDT. Starting bid £200. Please note that QDT apply 12.5% buyer's commission.
Notes
Owned by a serious Corgi collector for decades, this sign is such a rare survivor from the earliest Corgi period – the ‘blue box’ era!
We expect this large hardboard sign which would have slotted into the top section of a large Corgi display stand, either from a large toyshop such as ‘Hamleys’ or indeed from a Trade Show.
For display purposes only, we could not resist placing some Corgi models in the early blue boxes in front of the stand (all are available at QDT separately at time of writing).
Sign measures approx. 865mm x 260mm.
Minor wear only. The colours are still vibrant – and all original.
