Notes
It is such a delight to come upon these very early Dinky Delivery Vans and this one has clear, original gold lettering on both sides. The model is complete with no parts broken or missing. This is the second type Delivery Van and as is so prevalent with second types, there is (thankfully) just a small amount of crazing at the front fenders and a little at the rear.
This commercial Dinky was made between 1935-39 and it is a particularly difficult find. Rich deep red pigment, complemented by complete glistening gold lettering on both sides and smooth black wheels. Original white tyres run freely and are sound. Bright silver trim.
A little clear resin applied to one small section of one fender at some time and similarly at the rear window details.
A few marks to the paint finish.
A delight to own – these early advertising vans are in extremely short supply!
