At QDT, we were thrilled to receive an email one day from the son of Nigel Loveland, the Sales Director for Corgi.
His name is highly significant because many exceptionally rare, pristine, and “factory fresh” Corgi models originally originated from his personal collection or direct factory stock.
Issued between 1961-63, this military model has a matte olive green finish, complete red cross labels on both doors and one on the roof, flat spun wheels and a bright baseplate.
Very close to mint.
Note the base still has a small piece of copper wire attached – we believe this military piece was once part of a Corgi Display Stand at an exhibition, where the new releases were being promoted.
The card box is complete, fresh, clean and brightly-coloured.
