Notes

This first type Foden has a violet blue cab and chassis, orange back and flash, paler blue ridged wheels. Such a fresh, shining paint finish on this early truck in all original condition, issued between 1948-52 only. Original shining silver detailing at the 1st type cab. Bright baseplate, axles and spare wheel fixing.

The occasional little chip at exposed edges in the usual places (i.e. wheel arches, a couple of little marks at front bumper edge, and at tailboard edge). Slight bend in the tailboard. No tow hook and indeed no evidence of a tow hook ever having been attached. We firmly believe that this was a factory oversight as there is no paint loss at this site.
The early blue, paper label box is as nice as you could wish. Scarcely any wear at all. Deep vivid colours with only the occasional rub/mark. No splits or tears.
