Notes
In all original condition, this rare colour version was issued from 1948. 1st type has a distinctive burnt orange finish, bright mid-green back and flash, matching early ridged wheels and fine tread black radial tyres. Tank slits and no chain post bosses. Shiny and fresh oruiginal paint finish so this example displays well, in spite of the play chipping at front bumper and wheel arches. A few minor marks besides.
Barely any marking to the green back and 20 mph transfer is still in place.
The dark blue picture box shows the first type cab variation. It has bright strong colours throughout, and no splits. Paper label is clean bright and complete with no tears or ruffles at edges.
The letter ‘F’ has been written on the lid. Lovely old shopkeeper’s label is still affixed to one end showing that this model was originally sold in Webber’s Sports in either Exeter, Taunton or Torquay!
