D918
Dinky 918 Guy Van 'Ever Ready'. Very near mint/boxed. From 1955.
Notes
An essential item in your Dinky commercial collection, this Guy van was made during Dinky’s heyday and is part of the sought-after range of advertising vans made during mid-late 1950’s.
In virtually mint, all original condition throughout, this ‘Ever Ready’ model has a shining mid-blue paint finish. Complete detailed transfers on both sides and above the cab. So often, these high profile Dinky toys are found with retouching and repainting – we are very pleased to say that this one is in *all original, barely handled condition! *
After careful scrutiny of the van, you will see a stray dot of (factory) silver head-on and a couple of tiny marks at the rear door handles. Two little dots at the cab window post. One little mark on the box van roof. Exceptional condition! Shiny baseplate. Spare wheel fixing is tarnished now.
The box is complete, vividly-coloured and with no splits.
Some corner rubbing to the lid and a little age grubbiness etc. but no splits or graffiti! Dinky stamp inside the box lid dates this particular example from 1955. Rusty box staples. Box base is strongly-coloured too with barely any of the usual shelf-rubbing underneath. Stored out of direct light, this box has retained its colour vibrancy.
A premium Dinky commercial truck to add to your collection.
