This eye-catching Tanker from Dinky has a fine and original vivid red finish throughout, without a trace of sunfading. ‘Mobilgas’ lettering on both sides has a few light scratches and rubs – but still very nice! Delightful (but delicate) rear ‘Pegasus’ transfer is close to perfect. This scarce commercial truck has an undented tank and is happily free of the usual crazing to the paint finish on the tanker too. Cab is near mint plus.
Late issue with black filler caps and dark blue outlining to the lettering.

An honest example with no retouches: no-one has retouched the usual little chips that may be found at wheel arches, and no-one has repainted the little area of paint loss which is often found on the vertical part of the black ladder. The tow hook has been left undaubed, so the usual paint loss may be found. 20 mph sign (incomplete). Few little marks besides.

The early dark blue box is complete and fresh with excellent strong colours. Some of the expected age/handling grubbiness (minor) and some rust staining from the staples visible on the inside of the box. No punctures, splits or repairs! No graffiti either. Couple of the most minor edge nibbles to the paper label at one short end of the box. Very little shelf rubbing and it is particularly notable that the deep blue base has no colour fading!
