We are delighted to offer this scarce original Gift Set for sale.
It comprises:
First issue with a black and white Renault in virtually mint condition (one tiny mark at the rear light). Intact labels throughout. Complete with spare wheel in the bonnet, driver, camera man and camera.
Not often found this good!
Later issues would have a plain orange sleeve insert, but this slightly earlier issue has the attractive tree-lined backdop with the little clear blister attached, containing the race leader on his bicycle in his yellow jersey.
Surface tear to the card at this site.
Polystyrene plinth is complete.
The header card window box is clean and bright with intact original cellophane (has bee re-glued at one edge since the glue often dries out over time).
Minor handling wear and a small seam tear at an end flap hinge. Colours are vibrant and the card feels crisp.
