D511
Dinky 511 Guy 4-Ton Lorry. 1st Type. Near mint plus/boxed. Very nice box! Scarce. From the Italian collection.
Notes
An early commercial Dinky model, with a first type cab, fawn cab and back, red chassis, small unpainted hook. Issued between 1947-48 only. Lovely lustre shows minimal handling.
Closest scrutiny reveals three little spots of well-matched paint on the cab roof and a few at the wagon sides (really hard to notice).
The early buff box is really very good indeed – especially for this early type box: strong colours, bright staples and no splits! One little rub to the picture of the cab. Quality Control stamp on the underside of the base.
