Notes
A popular Corgi set issued between 1966-69 and surely this example complete with the rare ‘Opening Tailgate’ sign is one of the best you will ever see.
This set comprises:
1) Corgi 491 Ford Consul Super Estate Car in deep metallic blue finish with “wood” side panels, suspension on bright shaped spun wheels, jewelled headlights, cream interior and opening tailgate.
Rarely seen with this additional promotional sign included.
Model is in mint condition apart from a tiny chrome rub to one bumper corner.
2) Golfer, caddie and trolley; all original and as-new!
Inner card stand is in wonderful condition with vivid colours on crisp barely handled card. Notably no wear at the wheel slots or at the slots for the figures. Both pul-out tabs intact. Overall impression is as-new!
The outer box is equally fresh, bright and clean. Crisp, silky card. Shopkeeper’s price at an end flap.
