C448
Corgi 448 B.M.C. Mini Police Van with Tracker Dog. Scarce version in blue-black with a simpler card plinth. Very near mint/boxed with packing piece. From a private collection.
Notes
Straight from a private collection in the U.K., this popular Corgi model was issued between 1964-69. The Austin Police Mini Van has a very deep blue-black finish with a red detailed interior and bold ‘POLICE’ lettering.
Suspension on shaped spun wheels with suspension, intact aerial, jewelled headlights.
A couple of near microscopic marks at 2 wheel arches and a little mark on a rear door. Mere dot on the driver’s door.
Also included are the original figures of the police dog handler and tracker dog complete with his lead (often missing!). All safely slotted in to the bright and clean inner plinth (correct with no pictorial backdrop scene). Minor wear to one wheel slot and on the underside of the plinth. Packing piece is included.
The outer box is complete, bright and intact. Crisp. Shopkeeper’s price at an end flap. Minor wear only.
A fine all-original example of this scarce issue.
