C407
Corgi 407 Smith's Karrier Bantam Van. Version inspired by the Prototype model from 1959 as featured in The Great Book Of Corgi. Very near mint/unboxed. From the Italian collection.
Notes
A mock-up of the prototype of the Smith’s Karrier Bantam Van as pictured on page 77 in The Great Book of Corgi (we actually handled this unique, original example a couple of years ago!)
Quite nicely done, this Code 3 version is finished in the same livery as the prototype model pictured in The Great Book of Corgi, although the scene through the side windows has various Corgi commercial models pictured and the wording:
‘Join The Corgi Model Club’
beneath.
Certainly an interesting talking point in your collection – there is not another like it!
