This Ford Fairlane Police Car was made between 1962-66 and has a gleaming black finish, red roof light and original straight aerial . Early issue with small dished wheels (usually larger shaped spun) and paper labels "POLICE’ on the front doors (usually white painted). Fine, unused black tyres with ‘M’ for Meccano embossed, light tread. Intact suspension. Matte black baseplate. Complete ‘POLICE’ lettering at bonnet, and boot.
Hard to find a mark. After much peering, a tiny rub on the bonnet centre line may be seen.
The pictorial card box is astonishingly clean and intensely coloured! Complete, although there is a tear at two small end flap seams.
Penned writing on the inside of one end flap.
