D117
Dinky 117 Four Berth Caravan. Yellow. Very near mint /late 188 box with overstuck 117 Dinky stamp. Unusual issue from The Berkshire Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1963-69, this delighful model has a fresh original primrose yellow finish, matching plastic door, and detailed red interior with blue flooring. Matt baseplate. Fine example!
Just one little mark on a window edge and a few micro-dots besides.
Late paler yellow box is complete and quite an unusual variation. This box was actually intended for a Dinky 188 Caravan model. However, this two- tone model was replaced by 117 – this must have been one of the last remaining boxes and a printed label 117 was placed over the original numbering throughout. A little handling wear including a couple of very small end flap tears.
Quite a rarity!
