D936
Dinky 936 Leyland 8-Wheeled Chassis. Near mint/boxed. From a lifetime's collection in The Heart of England.
Notes
Issued between 1964-69, this unusual Dinky truck comes complete with all three removable ballast weights, the prop shafts on the underside rotate when the truck is moving along – just like the real thing! The weights are nearly always quite heavily chipped and they also tend to mark the silver chassis. This example has fared better than many! just a few little marks to the weights and scarcely any marking to the chassis (practically unavoidable to mark a little). Bright fresh “Leyland On Test” paper labels on the cab. Complete with driver and steering wheel. Bright fresh paper label ‘ON TEST’ at the rear too. Fine example throughout!
The most colourful and detailed pictorial box is complete, bright, intact with no splits. Minor age wear grubbiness only.
One of the best we have seen in along while!
