D40F
Dinky 40F Hillman Minx. Scarce dark bottle green issue with lighter green ridged wheels. Near mint/early issue, so never boxed. From The Berkshire Collection.
Notes
An original early example of this classic Dinky model first issued during 1951. This version in lustrous bottle green finish with lighter green ridged wheels is not an easy find. Early issue, so correct early ‘railed baseplate’ with small lettering.
Note that this model has a thin hairline scratch (approx. 15mm. long) not really visible in the pictures. Occasional marks at exposed edges besides.
Early examples would never have been boxed individually, but sold from a Dinky shopkeeper’s box of 6.
