D169
Dinky 169 Studebaker Golden Hawk. Very near mint/boxed. Tan and red version. Scarce with spun wheels in unusual plain box. From The Buckinghamshire Collection.
Notes
Many items from this collection were bought new during the 1960?s, after enquiring in toyshops for old, unsold shop stock.
This is a fine example made between 1958-63. This eye-catching American car has a bright all-original, tan finish with a red rear and side panel. Spun wheels and original white knobbly tyres, original silver detailing at radiator, headlights and raised lines.Bright baseplate. It is obvious that this fine Dinky model has barely been out of its box. A couple of small marks only.
More often found in a pictorial box, this example is presented in a plain all yellow box with red printing and correct Dinky colour spot at an end flap. Crisp and complete if a touch grubby now with a crease and a very small tear. Period price at an end flap.
